LAHORE - The bilateral trade between Pakistan and Egypt could be enhanced to $2 billion per annum as the markets of both the brotherly Islamic countries have great potential and Pakistan can multiply its exports through Egypt in the international market particularly in African nations. The Pak-Egypt Joint Business Council could play a vital role in strengthening economic and trade ties between the two countries as the leaders of both Egypt and Pakistan have agreed to activate Business Council. It is a great opportunity for the entrepreneurs to explore new trade opportunities between the two countries but we need committed, dedicated and hardworking people to enhance the trade and economic ties with Egypt, trade leader Iftikhar Ali Malik said here on Wednesday. He said that the decision to activate Pak-Egypt Joint Business Council was taken in a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Eng Rachid Mohamed Rachid in Cairo last week.
