ISLAMABAD Paying head to TheNation story dated May 24, 2010, pointing out illegalities in the procedure of appointments, the Textile Ministry has halted the process of recruitment claiming that no appointments have been made so far. According to written response to TheNations story, the Ministry of Textile has stated, No appointments have been made in the subject case and it is still under process. Admitting the content of the story, it stated, Ministries do receive recommendations from elected representatives on the occasion of recruitment but the decisions are made finally according to the procedures, keeping in view all the aspects including merit, qualifications, test and interview. It further clarified that the Minister for Textile Industry has no role in the employment of staff. The appointment of staff in the ministries is an administrative subject, which is carried out according to the laid down procedure, it added.
