JHANG - The Punjab government has been utilizing all resources for the provision of better healthcare to the masses and the government hospitals are being equipped with modern medical facilities besides provision of free medicines to the patients. The Punjab government is also establishing new hospitals and health units, especially in far-flung backward areas of the province. This was stated by MNA Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan while addressing to the foundation lying ceremony of new building of the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital at 18-Hazari here the other day. MNA Sahibzada said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had fulfilled his promises and 18-Hazari had been awarded the status of Tehsil. Appreciating the welfare services of the Chaila family, he said the people had elected the right person for their better representation who had got considerable funds for the development projects and public welfare. On the occasion, MPA Azam Chaila said that the Punjab Chief Minister had initially provided funds of Rs60 million for the establishment THQ hospital and land, measuring six acres had been donated by his family for the hospital. He said that classes had already been started in the newly-established Boys Degree College and the Girls Degree College would also be set up in the near future. DCO Shahid Niaz, in his address, said that the district remained backward in respect of development activities in the past but now the elected representatives were utilising their energies to gear up the development. He said that the people of the area would get the better healthcare after completion of THQ hospital. Earlier, MNA Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan, MPA Azam Chaila and others laid the foundation stone of the new building of THQ Hospital. Director Health Dr Aziz Khalid, former Union Nazims Babar Ali Khan Sial, Mian Muzaffar Mehmud Chaila, Mehboob Ahmed Chaila and other notables were also present on the occasion.
