The meeting between US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif cancelled. Mian Nawaz Sharif, who was in Murree, had earlier set off to Islamabad; however, he could not arrive in the federal cabinet on time. The meeting was scheduled at 11:00am. Both the leaders were slated to discuss various issues including US missile attacks on Pakistani soil. It should be mentioned here that earlier today US top official held a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at President House. Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir were also present in the meeting. Chairman US Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen and US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter attended the meeting along with Clinton.
