OKARA - The simmering heat, aggravated by unscheduled loadshedding of electricity for long durations took the life of a labourer while 10 others including two women fainted due to the scorching heat. Anwar Bibi and Zohran Bibi fainted while working in the wheat fields, while Ghulam Shabbir was working as a labourer. He expired on his way to the hospital. Eight others have been fainted due to the rising temperature. According to the metrological department, the temperature remained at 46 degree Celsius. The natural increase in temperature, coupled with unjust power outages, have paralyzed the life and people are finding it difficult how to deal with it. The traders and consumers have appealed to the Wapda authorities to stop the crippling loadshedding.
