LAHORE- The dashing widower and legendary cricket all-rounder, Wasim Akram, on Thursday declined any relation with 23-year old Pakistan model-turned-actor Humaima Malik, who recently was quoted in the media claiming to have close relations with Wasim and was widely acknowledged as his new girlfriend. The situation has seemed to become complicated for Wasim, who had to think it necessary to deny the claims made by Humaima in his regular writing piece which appeared at ESPN Star Sports website with a postscript. PS: Contrary to reports in a leading daily, I am not dating any 23-year-old Pakistani model. My life is only devoted to my two kids. Period Earlier, Humaima, who has starred in acclaimed Pakistani film-maker Shoaib Mansoors new film 'Bol in a leading role and which is to be released worldwide on June 24, claimed that she and Wasim had known each other for over one-and-half years and termed their relationships as health and entertaining despite a huge age difference between them. Wasim is 45 years old while Humaima has claimed her age just 23 and considering typical female psychology and 'age-telling culture in our fashion industry it may be advisable to add a few years in her age but despite that the difference remained huge. The dashing legend remained in news with celebrated beauties since the death of her wife Huma in 2009 and the most notable was with former Miss Universe and top Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen. The rumours were even that Sushmita was embracing Islam to marry Wasim. But after Humaimas claims, She is seen spending time with her ex-boyfriend Manav Menon, with whom she splitted in 2006. But despite the blunt denial of Wasim, the circumstances are pointing that there is something fishy in the matter. As Humaima, who had earlier said she was going to India to watch an IPL match on the invitation and insistence of Wasim to support his team, has to change her plans as she had to cancel her planned trip at the last moment. Arsalan Shah, her publicist confirmed that, "I don't think Humaima will be travelling to India. She got her plans cancelled at the last moment and had to stay back for her work commitments." This last moment trip may cost Humaima a fortune, as her hearts desire to act in Bollywood may get a blow rather than a boost. However Humaima is expected to go India along with singer-turned-actor Atif Aslam by end of June for the premiere of her debut Pakistani film 'Bol'.
