Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that his party backs National Assembly Speaker Fehmida Mirza’s decision about disqualification of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani as MNA.
He also said that the Prime Minister’s stance of not filing an appeal against conviction is also correct.
Talking to a private television channel at the Pakistan High Commission in London, Ch Shujaat said that there is no harm in meeting with Former president Pervez Musharraf.
He said that politics was not discussed during Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and Pervez Musharraf meeting. He said that his party will form an election alliance with Pakistan People’s Party for the next general election. Ch Shujaat said that there is no chance to form an alliance with PML-N.
He further said that due to the stubborn attitude of Nawaz Sharif any alliance with him is not possible.
