There is no denying the importance of TV talk shows, they cover every aspect of our lives and the trends that politics is taking. Everyone watches these talk shows, many have favourite anchors, but now, the content has become questionable. Many anchors are biased and have secret agendas which they promote rather than the truth and facts. Have journalists in Pakistan lost all sense of the basic ethics of journalism?

Journalists should not damage their credibility, they should not give their personal opinions and should stay neutral. Furthermore, a journalist should abide by the same high standards to which they hold others. Unfortunately, the unpalatable truth is that reality is being distorted deliberately in these talk shows and people are castigated on personal grounds. There is a severe need of maturity and training for our nascent journalists. This is a very responsible job and must be dealt with dignity and decorum.
