High-level Afghanistan delegation calls on NSA

A high-level delegation of Afghanistan called on National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua in Islamabad today.

The delegation comprises Afghan National Security Advisor, Afghan Army Chief and chief of Afghan spy agency National Directorate of Security (NDS) and interior minister Wais Barmak in a crucial visit to discuss matters of mutual interests and to discuss the way forward for the current impasse in the war-torn country.

This is the first high-level visit from Afghanistan in the past two years as a part of the recent understandings between the two neighbouring states to resolve their conflicts through dialogues.

After the landing in Islamabad today, the Afghan delegation went to meet with National Security Advisor (NSA) Lt Gen (retd) Naseer Khan Janjua.

The Afghan delegation would also visit the GHQ in Rawalpindi where both the sides would discuss the Pak-Afghan border security situation and Afghan peace process.
