RAWALPINDI - Punjab government has appointed Aamir Aqiq Khan (PAS/BS-19) as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi, informed sources on Wednesday. Similarly, the government promoted Imran Hamid (an officer of PAS/BS-18 awaiting posting in Services and General Administration Department) to next grade and posted him as DC Attock. A notification No.SI.2-2/2021 (C) has also been issued by Chief Secretary Jawwad Rafique Malik on orders of the Governor of Punjab, they said. Earlier, Aamir Aqiq Khan was serving as DC Okara. The newly appointed DC Rawalpindi Aamir Aqiq Khan has assumed his charge, according to sources. Punjab government had removed former DC Rawalpindi Capt (R) Anwaar Ul Haq and DC Attock Ali Anan Qamar among many other officers apparently after concluding inquiry report about altering and amending the original map of the Rawalpindi Ring Road that conflicted heavy loss to the national exchequer.
