LAHORE-The Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khan Khosa has said that education is the only catalytic factor that can change the destiny of the nation. The young generation should equip itself with latest knowledge in the field of science and technology for making Pakistan a prosperous and progressive country. These views were expressed by the Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khan Khosa on the fifth convocation of Forman Christian College University Lahore, on Saturday. Governor said that the improvement of education at all levels must be a major priority for Pakistan. He said education was an essential part for the country because without it no country could progress. Knowledge is a power having no substitute, he observed, adding, Our youth is our future and the back bone of our economy. He said that at this time inflation and the general condition of the economy had impacted so many families that government as well as society must do everything possible to assist deserving and needy students to meet the cost of their education. The government will provide maximum financial assistance to bright, hard working and diligent students, he added. While applauding the FC University for its contribution in the field of education, Khosa said that FC Universitys initiative to provide continuing education opportunities for teachers in public and private elementary and secondary schools, as well as universities, is an important contribution to the future welfare of Pakistan. He further said that motto of Forman Christian College, By Love, Serve One Another was a wonderful guide for the students and graduates of FCC as they determine their priorities and work to make a positive impact on the welfare of our institutions, our communities, our province, and our nation. The Governor appreciated the new MPhil Programs in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics and Public Policy.
