Our Staff reporter TOBA TEK SINGH - Local political and religious leaders have condemned Nato helicopters attack on a checkpoint in Mohmand, a tribal region on the border with Afghanistan and have expressed sorrows over the killing 26 Pakistani soldiers and injuries to 14 other. In separate press statements issued here Saturday, they stated that attack was the result of unjustified participation of Pakistan in the so-called war on terror. They added that Pakistan should expel all Americans from Pakistan for this unprovoked attack. Those who issued statements included former MNA and PML-N central leader Hamza, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf central leader Ghiasuddin Janbaz, Labour Party Pakistan district secretary Tariq Mahmood, Jamaat-e-Islami district Ameer Maulana Abdul Maalik, JUI-S district Ameer Maulana Bashir Ahmad Usmani, Sunni Tehreek President Maulana Munem Siddiqi, Women Peasants Network leader Rafia Saloomi, human rights activist Ashfaq Fateh and former district nazim Chaudry Abdul Sattar. They lashed out at the rulers for what they said criminal negligence towards the national integrity and sovereignty. They said that the rulers had nothing to do with national pride and dignity as they were busy maligning each other. Our rulers are power-hungry and they only want to get to the helm of affair be that at the cost of national sovereignty, they lamented.
