OUR STAFF REPORTER FAISALABAD - An orientation programme was organised for students of MBBS & BDS Part-I at the University of Medical & Dental College, Faisalabad. Madina Teaching Hospital Director Prof Dr A G Rehan was the chief guest of the ceremony while UMDC Principal Prof Dr Irshadul Haq, Medical Education Director Prof Dr Ehsanul Haq, Medical Section Vice-Principal Dr Aamir Ali Chaudhry, Dental Section Vice-Principal Dr Furrukh Imran Additional Registrar Zahida Maqbool addressed. In his address, Prof Dr AG Rehan, while giving a welcome to the 1st year students, emphasised the importance of medical education for serving the suffering humanity in a better way. Earlier, Zahida Maqbool informed the audience about the University Medical & Dental College, Madina Teaching Hospital and other welfare projects of the Madina Foundation. Prof Dr Irshadul Haq briefed the students about performance of the college and introduced faculty members to the students. He said the UMDC with its highly qualified and experienced faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure had been providing quality medical education to female students in an enviable environment. He also stated that co-curricular activities were also given due importance in the college. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from UMDC Vice-Principal Dr Aamir Ali Chaudhry. The orientation session was also attended by parents of the students.
