QUETTA - Four people were killed and two others wounded in a landmine blast and firing incidents in Bolan and Dera Bugti districts of Balochistan on Monday.

According to Levies officials, a landmine exploded in Shuran area of Bolan district that resulted in death of two persons on the spot and another sustained serious injuries. Local administration moved the injured and dead to nearby state-run hospital where the deceased were identified as Qasir Shah and Younus Khan.

“The persons were riding a motorbike when it rolled on a landmine which exploded with huge blast destroying the motorbike,” Levies official said.

Local administration handed over the bodies to heirs after completing legal formalities and started investigations into the landmine blast.

In another incident, unidentified bandits shot dead a person and wounded another in Bagh area of Bolan.

Levies officials said that Liaquat Ali Abro resident of Bagh was on his way when armed men intercepted him at gun-point in a bid to snatch his motorbike. They opened fire when Liaquat Ali offered resistance.

Resultantly, he received critical injuries and died while bandits fled from the scene alongwith the motorbike.

Separately, in the same Bagh area armed bandits injured one Hindu trader namely Sagar Kumar within the limits of Bagh police station when he resisted a snatching attempt of his bike.

Police after getting information rushed to the site and moved the injured to a nearby hospital for medical aid.

Meanwhile, a man was killed in Kurdan area of Dera Bugti District. According to report reaching here, a man was on his way alongwith his camel when he hit a landmine in Kurdan area.

Resultantly, he and his camel died on the spot.

The security personnel rushed to the spot and shifted deceased to a nearby hospital. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Ali.

Local administration has registered separate case of all incidents and investigations were underway.
