ALLAHABAD - The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court, sought reply from the central government while hearing a PIL seeking issuance of visa to Pak citizens willing to see the India Pakistan cricket match series scheduled to be held next month.

The court also directed the central government to submit the entire investigation report of the missing of 12 Pakistan citizens who came India to watch the cricket match in India in 2007 and went missing mysteriously.

The aforesaid order was passed by division bench comprising Justice Uma Nath Singh and Satish Chandra on a PIL filed by a local NGO. Appearing in person, the petitioner Prince Lenin argued that issuance of visa to Pak citizens is a very sensitive issue and the central government may be directed not to grant visa to Pakistan citizen for watching the live cricket match.

He contended that in year 2007 the visa was granted to the Pakistan citizens and 12 out of them went missing till the date. Lenin further contended that even the intelligence agencies could not detect them till date.

The court fixed the next date of hearing on December 10 asking the union government to file a counter affidavit explaining the reason.
