KARACHI - The confrontation-like situation arouse in the province as nationalists and other opposition parties have given call of wheel-jam strike and black day on November 30 against the controversial local government law, while ruling PPP has announced to celebrate its 46th foundation day the same day.Meanwhile, a meeting of the ruling PPP’s executive committee of Sindh chapter held with Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah in the chair, who is also the provincial president of the party, at the CM Secretariat on late Monday night. The meeting was attended by the party’s central executive committee members from Sindh and provincial ministers.According to sources, the ruling PPP has decided to celebrate the party’s founding day with traditional enthusiasm.The party leaders have said that they will not come under any pressure as they are not afraid of anyone’s threat of confrontation on November 30.The PPP said that the party would organise gathering in the districts to celebrate the party’s founding day, where cake cutting ceremonies will also be held.Meanwhile, the Sindh Bachayo Committee, comprises of nationalists and federal parties including PML-F, PML-F, ANP and other parties have given shutter-down and wheel-jam strike call on November 30 against the local government law and alleged insulting behavior of the ruling PPP ministers towards female members of the PML-F in last session of Sindh Assembly.Nationalist leader Jalal Mehmood Shah has said that their strike call and ruling PPP’s foundation day on the same day was just a coincidence as opposition parties have already announced their protest call on same day.
