KARACHI  - The Sindh police have introduced training courses regarding information technology in all the districts. A police statement here on Monday said that the selected officers and jawans are being imparted IT training. It said that computer networking has been completed in all the police stations in the province. The training courses are aimed at improving the standard of policing and provision of facilities to the people as well as the registration of the computerised FIRs.Meanwhile, at a ceremony held at Central Police Office (CPO) here on Monday, certificates were distributed among the policemen of District Ghotki who successfully participated in the IT course.They included an Assistant Sub Inspector and 15 head constables and constables of District Ghotki.The Additional IG CID, Ghulam Shabbir Shaikh, distributed the certificates among the successful participants of the IT training course.He said on the occasion that the Command and Control Centre at the CPO is in fact a part of the IT project of the Sindh Police.Shaikh said that at this centre, monitoring of the metropolis is undertaken through latest cameras for maintenance of law and order, keeping an eye on the criminal elements and ensuring prompt police action against the criminals.
