LAHORE –College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) Regional Center Lahore on Monday arranged a special lecture on breast cancer.

Delivering lecture, Prof Fouzia Raana from University of Florida said that the treatment of different kinds of breast cancers is possible depending upon the timely diagnosis. All patients of breast cancer cannot be treated alike. She emphasized that women over 40 years should get their medical checkup regularly.

She appreciated the efforts of fellows of CPSP in medical profession at International level. The lecture was attended by Prof. Zafar Ullah Chaudhry, President, CPSP, Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, DGIR, CPSP, Prof. Rakhshanda Rahman, Prof. T. A. Shah, Prof. Ahsanullah, Prof. Muhammad Iqbal, Prof. Aamer Zaman Khan, Prof. Hammad Naeem Rana, Prof. Samina Khokhar, and other postgraduate trainees.

Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, DGIR, CPSP said that revolutionary steps should be taken to eliminate cancer from the society. Awareness campaign against cancer should also be launched at tehsil and district level. This disease can be curbed on timely diagnosis. In this regard, the fellows of CPSP and trained doctors will fight in front line. With joint efforts of civil society and awareness campaign we can get rid of cancer.
