KARACHI : Life has turned to normalcy Monday in the metropolitan city after the safe passage of Ashura day. Containers were removed overnight from the roads of Karachi that were placed to provide security to the Muharram processions. According to Media Reports, the main routes were sealed by placing containers for security of mourning processions on 8th, 9th and 10th Muharram. Other adjoining lanes linking to the main roads were also blocked for the same purpose.Motorcycles related bans imposed in Karachi and Hyderabad were also lifted on Monday.The provincial home department has issued a notification according to which the pillion riding ban has been lifted from Karachi.Later, SSP Hyderabad Pir Fareed issued a statement according to which ban on motorcycle riding has been lifted in Hyderabad.Meanwhile, SSP Khairpur said that pillion riding ban will remain effective in Khairpur till 13th of MuharramSealed shops have also started to open after the Ashura holidays.
