Pakistan Muslim League Q and Pakistan Sunni Ittehad Council have agreed to seat adjustment in the next general elections.

In this connection, Pakistan Muslim League Q leaders Ch Shujaat and Pervez Elahi held a meeting with Pakistan Sunni Ittehad Council leader Sahibzada Fazl Kareem on Tuesday.

After the meeting the three leaders announced the decision to contest the general elections jointly.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting Ch Shujaat Husain said no single political party could solve the problems of the country and collective efforts were required to overcome the crises.

“We shall take the religious parties on board for the peace and stability in the country,” he said.

Deputy Prime Minister Pervaiz Elahi on the occasion said the objective of the alliance between the two parties was to forge national unity and make collective efforts for country’s wellbeing.

Talking to media persons Sahibzada Fazl Kareem said Pakistan was going through critical times due to international conspiracies, adding these conspiracies could be foiled only through national unity. "We have entered into alliance with PML-Q not for any political gain,” he said.

Sahibzada Fazal Karim said that Sunni Ittehad Council would talk further about seat adjustment with other parties who condemn the terrorism openly.
