LAHORE - Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has registered a case against Aamir Aqiq, former Personal Staff Officer (PSO) to Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and 19 other officers and beneficiaries on their alleged involvement in land scam of 1205 kanals worth millions of rupees, said sources on Tuesday.
Aamir Aqiq is a DMG officer of Grade 18 and remained posted at important seats in Chief Minister’s Secretariat like PSO and Deputy Secretary. Director General ACE Abid Javed had received an application against him wherein it was revealed that said officer was involved in making bogus allotment of 1205 kanals land in Kasur district during his posting there.
DG ACE, ordered inquiry into the issue and during course of inquiry allegations were proved true on which DG ACE sought approval from higher authorities of the Punjab government to register a case against accused. After approval case was registered against Aamir Aqiq and 19 other officers and beneficiaries civilians including, Revenue Officer, Shahbaz Ali, Naib Tehsildar, Sher Yar, Patwari Abdul Jalil and among civilians were Sheikh Waseem, Aftab Khan, M Shafique, Abdur Rasheed, Abdur Riaz Khan, Salman Khan Manj, Arif Qadri, Rasheed Ahmad Dogar, M Saleem,M Ibrahim, Aslam Khan and Khalid Sddique.
Complainant of the FIR was Athar Saeed and ACE officials were making raids to arrest the accused.
