ISLAMABAD – Five matches were decided on the inaugural day of the Federal Board Inter-collegiate Girls Basketball Championship 2013-14 here at Bahria College E-8 on Tuesday. In the first match of the day, APS College Hamayun Road beat Islamabad Model College Margallah F-7/4 by 19-10, hosts Bahria College thrashed IMCG F-7/2 by 40-5 in the second, APS College beat IMCG F-6/2 by 24-8 in the third while in the fourth match, Bahria College beat IMCG Margallah F-7/4 by 22-10 and in the last match of the day, Islamabad Model College for Girls F-7/2 beat IMCG F-6/2 by 12-10. It was the best encounter of the day, as both the teams fought very well but then IMCG F-6/2 girls finally prevailed and edged out the opponents with only two baskets difference.
