PESHAWAR - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers continued their protest and sit-in against NATO supplies for the fourth consecutive day, stopping several containers of NATO at Khairabad district Nowshera and Peshawar.

At Hayatabad toll plaza the sit-in was led by Zaheer Younis Mohmand , MNA Hamidul Haq, MPA Fazl Ilahi, Arif Yousaf, Javed Naseem, Mahmood Jan, Zareen Zia, Arif Ahmad, President of Insaf Students Federation Sohail Afridi, Mina Khan Afridi, PTI Media Adviser Azeemullah and other students activist of PTI.

The sit in was also attended by Jamaat-i-Islami leaders Shabbir Ahmad Khan, Bakhrullah Khan Advocate, Hafiz Hashmat, former MPA Kashif Azam and leader of Awami Jamhori Ittehad Beland Iqbal Khan.

The sit-in was participated by PTI MPAs and provincial spokesman Ishtiaq.

Addressing on the occasion PTI spokesman Ishtiaq Umar said that he salutes the sacrifices of PTI workers.

He said that despite number of activities PTI workers spare their valuable time and joined the sit-in against NATO supplies and US drone attacks.

He rejected the allegation of some elements that PTI has hindered vehicles of Afghan transit trade ,adding, that no single vehicle of Afghan transit trade was stopped and they are allowed for carrying edible and necessary goods to Afghanistan.

At Motorway Interchange the sit-in was attended by PTI workers from Charsadda including district President PTI Zahoor Khan and regional Information secretary Wali Khan.

In district Nowshera, dozens of PTI workers came on the roads and joined the sit-in against NATO supplies. In Sawabi protesters led by district President Haji Rangesz Khan stage sit-in against drone attacks.

The sit in was also attended by President of PTI Youth Wing Masood Khan. In district Kohat PTI district Hamayun Bacha President and General Secretary Sajid Iqbal led the sit in.

Similarly in DI Khan the sit-in was led by district President Hamayun Khan and General Secretary Ibrahim Lahori and regional President Irfan Kamrani attended the camp.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers along with its coalition partners continued its sit-in against drone attacks.They were allowing the vehicles travelling to Afghanistan under Afghan Transit Trade agreement.

After the bomb blast in custom office at Torkham border, the NATO supply remained suspended for few days, however, after the resumption of the NATO supply trucks PTI workers has put blockade at various points to block the NATO containers. The sit-in of PTI workers continued at ring road, Hayatabad toll Plaza, Khairabad area and Sawabi Interchange.

Meanwhile, a scuffle also erupted among some of the PTI workers, however, PTI district General Secretary Zaheer Younis said that they were not the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and there were some outsiders who opened aerial firing. He said that FIR has been registered against those who opened firing.
