RAHIM YAR KHAN- PTI Central Secretary General Jehangir Tareen has said that the demand for suspension of Nato supply to Afghanistan for complete halt of drone strikes by the US is not unfair.
Addressing a press conference, he explained that Nato supply had also been suspended earlier when the Salala check-post was attacked. “If now the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf is demanding the suspension for stopping drone attacks, why it is unfair,” he questioned.
“We want to tell the foreign powers that drone attacks are not fair. The politics of getting dollars from the US cannot develop the country. For the sovereignty of the country, a brave leader is required and Imran Khan is the only one who can change the country’s fate,” he claimed.
He said that the government in its start signed a treaty with the International Monetary Fund due to which the tariff of electricity was increased and Pakistani rupee devalued. He said the govt started pre-poll rigging for the local bodies elections and made delimitations of its will but the PTI will challenge that act in the court. Later, PPP leader Ch Gul Jehanzeb and PML-N leader Chaudhry Asif Majeed with thousands of workers joined the PTI.
