IVORY COAST: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited Ivory Coast and spent day with Pak Army contingent deployed there under United Nations flag.

The Army Chief paid rich tributes to Pak troops for their professionalism, commitment to bring stability and promoting peace for a secure world under UN.

He said Pakistan is committed to meet emerging challenges of peace-keeping operations and continues to uphold UN and Pak flag fluttering high. 

General Raheel Sharif said Pakistan is proud of its historic role as major troops contributor and takes it as an obligation to participate in international peace and security.

He said being one of leading troops contributors, Pakistan has currently deployed its troops in six UN missions, despite ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb.
