Ch Shujat lauds struggle of late Jahangir Badar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Ch Shujat Hussain on Sunday lauded the efforts of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader late Jahangir Badar for democracy and party.

He offered condolence and fateha for the departed soul of Jahangir Badar at his residence. On this occasion he was accompanied by Member of National Assembly (MNA) Tariq Bashir Cheema, SM Zafar, Salik Hussain and Ali Badar.

Paying tributes to Jahangir Badar, he said "despite belonging to another party, he had great respect for me and always kept me in front in the meetings, he was my companion in tour of Afghanistan, we had friendly relations."

“He had great knowledge and study of Sufi poets, he used to recite verses of Bulleh Shah and then explain their meanings, he was very close and trusted colleague and also was symbol of Peoples Party in Punjab as well,” he added.

Responding a question about Panama Leaks, he said that all eyes are on the Supreme Court whose verdict will be accepted by all. Qatari prince will not come to Pakistan; if he comes then he will have to stand in witness box.

About Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he said presently he is an alternate of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

Ali Badar, son of late Jahangir Badar, while expressing gratitude to Ch Shujat Hussain said that his father often used to say that if he recognises anyone else as a politician besides Benazir Bhutto, he is Ch Shujat Hussain who thinks about national interest and not personal interest.
