As Khan opened the door, the armed attackers opened indiscriminate fire at him and fled leaving him in a pool of blood.

The family members added that when they rushed out after hearing multiple gun shots, Khan was found on the ground with multiple bullet injuries.

However, the police officials who are investigating the case alleged that he had two wives which might be the cause of the incident.

The singer was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard at Zareenabad.
