LAHORE - The 60th death anniversary of prominent Pakistan Movement leader, journalist and poet Maulana Zafar Ali Khan is going to be held throughout the country to tribute his invaluable services today.

Zafar Ali Khan died on November 27, 1956 at the age of 83 in Wazirabad. The day will dawn with recitation of Holy Quran at his native village Karamabad. Special prayers will be offered for the legendary stalwart who spent every third day of his life in jail for the sake of Independence Movement.

Special programmes and editions will be arranged to pay homage to departed soul of Maulana in various national dailies and electronic media.

The Maulana Zafar Ali Khan Trust will exhibit historical photographs besides selection of poetical calligraphy at Maulana Zafar Ali Khan mausoleum and will run a documentary of his glorious achievements under the title 'ZAFAR-UL-MILLAT' at the trust hall.

The younger folks are being invited to watch the documentary besides distinguished personalities from different spheres of journalism, research and Urdu literature will attend the trust office to offer their respect to one of the founding fathers of Pakistan.

Also, the Govt Maulana Zafar Ali Khan Degree College will mark December 7th as Maulana Zafar Ali Khan day, during which Maulana's books and documentary will be shown to local students, elites and speech contest will be held in Wazirabad.
