SARGODHA-A 16-year-old girl student of class 10th succumbed to her deteriorated condition caused by alleged negligence of doctors during a throat surgery at private hospital. Members of the bereaved family, flanked by hundreds of locals staged protest outside Sargodha Press Club by placing the dead body on road.

Deceased girl identified as Tehzeeb Khiam was operated upon by Dr Fawad Munawar in a private hospital at Jouharabad in District Khushab. On the occasion, heirs of the deceased girl alleged respiratory and other sensitive veins were badly affected during the throat surgery due to negligence and incompetence of the surgeon.

They informed that later the girl was brought to a private hospital at Sargodha where she breathed her last. The protesting parents demanded the Punjab Chief Minister take stern action against the private hospital management and the surgeon for the negligence that caused death of their beloved daughter.

On the other hand, sources closed to Dr Fawad Munawar refuted the allegations, saying that the girl died of cancer disease. Later the family left for Jouharabad to perform funeral rituals of Tehzeeb Khiam.
