Rail traffic resumes after several hours

KARACHI -  The railway traffic, disrupted due to protests in major cities of country, resumed in Karachi late on Saturday night. 

According to Railway Officials, seven trains including Pakistan Express, Millat Express, Allama Iqbal Express and Tezgam left Karachi railway stations after being suspended for more than 11 hours. 

The train traffic was suspended at around 1:00 PM Saturday following eruption of protests in various areas of Karachi and other parts of the country after action was launched against Faizabad protesters. 

Meanwhile, protesters have ended their demonstration in Malir, Kalaboard, National Highway, Sharah-e-Faisal, Star Gate and Teen Talwar, however, sit-in and protest is continuing at various places including Numaish Chorangi.
