Federal Minister for Human Rights, Dr Shireen Mazari has said that India always took advantage from Pakistan’s weak diplomacy on Kashmir.
She was speaking to a seminar that was held on the topic of “Remember The Invasion of Kashmir: How Youth Can Help End War” organized by YFK–International Kashmir Lobby Group (Youth Forum For Kashmir), here on Tuesday.
She said on the occasion that India is denying international investigative teams and media to visit Indian-held Kashmir that’s why the human rights violations come into knowledge of the world lately.
Talking about UN Kashmir Report 2018, she said that, the report is good but UN should have done this before. Before releasing the report, UN asked Pakistan to let their team visit Azad Jammu & Kashmir but Pakistan denied that if India will allow UN then we will allow. Pakistan should not adopt the policy of India regarding Kashmir; it was a big mistake not to allow UN team.
She presented her five-points suggestions towards the conflict resolution of Kashmir; she said that we should also demand the international investigation in Kashmir as the UN report does.
Spokesperson of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Dr Mohammad Faisal said that Pakistan wants good relations with India as Prime Minister Imran Khan insured that if India will come forward one step, Pakistan will come two steps forward. PM Imran Khan has written a letter to PM Modi to talk about bilateral relations, peace, and the conflict resolution of Jammu & Kashmir.
He said that we are opening Kartarpura Corridor tomorrow that will allow Indian Sikhs to visit their holy relics in Pakistan without Visa. India-Pakistan relations are not that simple, we have wars in the past but the diplomacy is changed in 21st century, diplomacy is now a name of public perception.
He further said that Foreign Office is working on Kashmir inside and outside Pakistan through conferences, demonstrations, photo exhibitions, publications and social media. “We always welcome Indian media as well to come to Pakistan even on the time of Kulbhushan Jadhav’s wife and mother visited Pakistan”, he added.
Executive Director, YFK–International Kashmir Lobby Group (Youth Forum For Kashmir) Ahmed Quraishi said that there are three milestones in Kashmir conflict; the UNSC resolutions, Burhan Wani’s martyrdom and UN Kashmir Report 2018. This year, in addition to the demand for a referendum in Kashmir, the UN demanded an international investigation into human rights violations as well.
