LAHORE - Emerging young tennis star Amir Mazari has earned a bronze medal in the Kathmandu ATF 14&Under Ranking Tennis Championship 2021 that concluded in Lalitpur, Nepal. Amir played tremendous tennis throughout the ATF event, thus booked berth in the semifinals, where the 12-year-old Mazari lost to Shaksam Bikram Shah, the 14-year-old best player of Nepal. Eventually Mazari had to play against India’s Siddharth Jeebu to secure third position. The score was 4-1, 4-2. Talking to The Nation from Nepal, sensational Mazari said: “In my time in Nepal, I learnt a lot of new stuff, improved my skills, had a great experience which made me more confident. I have also made new friends, and they welcomed me warm and well, made me feel home. So tennis is not only about matches, opponents or hard feelings after losing, it’s also about a good friendship all over the world.”
