Kashmir freedom impossible sans Jihad, says Nizami

LAHORE - Editor-in-Chief The Nation and Chairman Nazria Pakistan Trust (NPT) Majid Nizami has said that the people of Kashmir cannot get their right to self-determination unless Pakistan wages Jihad on India. He said this while addressing an ideological training workshop at the Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan here on Tuesday. The workshop was jointly organised by the NPT, the Tehrik-e-Pakistan Workers Trust and the Punjab Education Department for teachers of various colleges of district Okara. NPT Vice-Chairman Dr Rafique Ahmad, Prof Humayun Ehsan, Mian Altaf Farooq, Senator Naeem Hussain Chattah and Prof Sarfraz Mirza also addressed the workshop. Speaking on the occasion, the NPT Chairman said that the country needed to be freed from influence of the US that thought it had made Pakistanis slave by its nominal financial grants. He urged upon the teachers to tell the youth about the sacrifices made by their forefathers for the creation of Pakistan. Nizami further said that the teachers should train the students in a manner that they could confront Indian conspiracies. He asked them to acquire maximal knowledge and then share the same with their students. He said that students should be properly told about the purpose behind the creation of Pakistan. Securing his students from unfamiliar culture is also a duty of a teacher, Nizami added. He informed the teachers that the NPT had already requested the Chief Minister Punjab to include Pakistan ideology in curriculum. NPT Vice-Chairman Dr Rafique Ahmad told the teachers about the objectives of the workshop. He said that the Pakistan Movement was a revolutionary movement that had made the Muslims of Sub-continent united. He said that landlords and capitalists were behind miseries of the masses. He added that Quaid-e-Azam wanted to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare democratic state. A multimedia presentation, besides lectures on various topics was also arranged for participants of the workshop.
