LAHORE Around 278 female candidates have been awarded driving licences by the City Traffic Police whereas about 25 failed in initial tests during the current month. According to the CTO spokesman, some 303 females applied for driving licences out of which only 278 managed to pass all the initial tests. He, however, said that before conducting tests, the instructors deliver special lecture on road-signs and necessary instructions about driving. If someone is failed then he is issued learner permit and after the lapse of 42 days, a driving test is conducted again, the Chief Traffic Officer Ahmed Mobin said. He said that one lady inspector and two lady wardens have been deputed for the aforesaid purpose in female wing.
