OUR STAFF REPORTER ISLAMABAD - ZTBL got 56 runs lead against Islamabad Region in the Inter-region/department Under-19 cricket tournament on the second day of the match here at National Cricket Ground on Wednesday. At one stage ZTBL were struggling at 120/6 needing another 64 runs to equal the score. Thanks to an unbeaten knock of 69 runs by left-handed batsman Haseeb-ur-Rehman, who with his brilliant knock turned the table on opponents and took 56 runs lead for his team. He was ably supported by night watchman wicketkeeper batsman Ali Shan (43), Aziz Ullah (43) and Zafar Gohar (42). Haseeb also bowled well in the first innings and got four key Islamabad wickets. ZTBL managed 240/7 in the allotted 83 overs. Islamabad had scored 99/3 at stumps, a total lead of 43 runs with seven wickets remaining. By virtue of first innings lead ZTBL have 27 points while Islamabad 21 points. Islamabad have to win this match if they want to qualify for the semi-finals a draw will help ZTBL get a place in the last four stage.
