Unjust working hours

While switching over from 6 working days a week to 5 working days State Bank authorities have been strict enough to observe 38.5 hours working for its employees but three hours weekly have been snatched from stakeholders on account of counter service. Believe it or not State Bank of Pakistan is providing just 22 hours weekly counter service to the stakeholders in all its 16 offices spread throughout the country including Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. SBP offices are being closed at 5.30 pm from Monday to Thursday and 6.00 pm on Friday. It will be in the fitness of things if 25 hours weekly counter service is provided to the clients at SBP counters and its counter timings are spread from 9.00 am to 2.15 pm from Monday to Thursday while on Friday it should continue from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm to ease the public at large to transact business with central bank of the country. If due to any reason public dealing hours cannot be extended from 22 hours to 25 hours weekly then pass on these hours to staff and close SBP offices at 5.00 pm on all five working days to save energy otherwise very purpose of this drill is defeated.
