207 dengue suspects visit allied hospitals



RAWALPINDI  - Around 207 dengue fever suspects treated so far been in the allied hospitals of the city. Last year 2,600 such patients visited the hospitals with dengue symptoms and 783 were provided treatment.
Of those brought to hospitals this year, two tested positive for dengue and were provided treatment. One was discharged while the other admitted to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS) Dr Javed Hayat said this while talking to APP on Thursday.
To date, the HFH has registered 190 dengue fever suspects and the Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) 17, he added. He said the hospitals had the capacity and potential to meet any situation arising out of the seasonal disease outbreak, and that the dengue fever situation is fully under control in Rawalpindi region, he claimed.
