DUBAI - A Bahraini policeman has died from severe burns after a “terrorist” attack in April in a village close to Manama, the authorities said on Friday. The policeman “succumbed to his injuries” on Thursday after being “sent abroad to receive treatment for his burns,” the Information Affairs Authority (IAA) said. On October 19, a 19-year-old policeman also died from injuries sustained when a home-made bomb exploded during clashes with protesters in the village of Akar. Regular unrest and demonstrations have shaken Bahrain since it crushed Shia-led popular protests in March last year.
