PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has said that Haj and sacrifice is not the name of merely a few religious rituals but the real need is to understand the soul and philosophy of sacrifice and to make it a part of our lives.  Greeting the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said, in his message, that the sacred day of Eid give us the lesson of forging unity, by rising above all prejudices of caste, colour and creed as was envisaged by Allama Iqbal.

He said the spirit of sacrifice demands from us that we should not prefer our association with one area, colour, language and race and should always prefer collective national objectives over personal interests. He said that Eid-ul-Azha is the day of bowing before Allah Almighty and acknowledging his greatness. He said that the philosophy of sacrifice demands that we should leave no stone unturned to provide help and assistance to our needy brethren at the individual level, while, on the other hand, the society and the state must fulfill its own responsibilities. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that there is a strong need to maintain the spirit of sacrifice in our practical lives throughout the year.
