ISLAMABAD  -Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan has issued directions to deploy traffic police contingents at important places, shopping centers, main markets for Eid shopping activities and maximum convenience to citizens.

During the next two-days, Eid shopping will be at peak in Capital following which IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan has directed to ensure special traffic police deployment in the city. On his special instructions, SSP (Traffic) Islamabad Dr. Moeen Masood has issued traffic plan deputing police contingents at all important places, shopping centers and main markets to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

SSP (Traffic) Dr. Moeen Masood has also constituted special squads to maintain traffic flow in the capital and a detailed deployment plan has been issued to control the traffic in the city. He has also directed the staffers to take strict action against one wheeling, racing and those running bikes and vehicles without silencers.

More than 100 cops from Islamabad Traffic Police including one SP, 3 DSPs, 11 Inspectors, 50 Sub-Inspectors and Assistant Sub-Inspectors and other lower subordinates will perform duties at important shopping centers from 6 pm to onwards. As per plan, SSP (Traffic) will monitor the duties and Inspector Shaukat Ali will perform duty at Super Market, Inspector Muhammad Islam at Jinnah market, Inspector Abdul Ghaffar Khan at F-10 and G-10, Inspector Mehr Muhammad Sardar at Peshawar Mor market, Inspector Muhammad Iqbal at Karachi company market, Inspector Ghulam Nabi at Blue area, Sub-Inspector Dialwar Hussain at Aabpara market, Inspector Mehr Muhammad Riaz at sector I-8 and Inspector Asif Javed at I-10 Markaz. As many as 22 vehicles, 16 motorbikes and lifters have been provided to ITP’s cops while its’ help unit (1915) will perform duty round the clock.

Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan has appealed the citizens to demonstrate responsible attitude and also directed for strict action against those transporters causing inconvenience for the citizens.
