Karachi - Security forces claimed to have arrested some 100 suspects involved in various crimes here on Saturday.

Karachi police claimed to have conducted 76 raids, three encounters and arrested some 90 suspects alleged criminals including 29 absconders.

Nineteen people were booked over possessing illegal arms, 8 under narcotics, 9 for robberies and three under Terrorism Act. They also claimed to have arrested three killers and recovered 32 various weapons, including four bombs and narcotics.

On the other side, Pakistan Rangers Sindh have conducted targeted raid on a tip-off in Mohallah Wochani and Koila Mandi areas on Saturday morning. It recovered two abductees namely Marwan Shoaib and Zeehsan Ali. Three gangsters namely Saleem, Shahbaz and Zaheer were also arrested. Weapons, including mini machine gun, SMGs, pistols and huge quantity of mixed ammo were recovered.

Meanwhile, Customs Drug Enforcement Cell Staff at Jinnah Terminal Karachi Airport arrested one passenger namely Munawar Hussain, resident of Khushab, who was leaving for Jeddah by PIA flight 731. It recovered 550 grams of amphetamine (crystal) and 450 grams heroin cleverly concealed in the bottom of his suitcase. A case has been lodged and further investigation was under progress.
