LAHORE : Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar on Saturday chaired the Biennial General meeting of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Punjab and revived the welfare activities of the society which had become dormant during the past two years.

Addressing the meeting at Governor House, he said that no human effort was superior to the service of ailing mankind, adding that he had greatest regards for the social workers and philanthropists. The Governor said he was happy to mobilize the members of the PRCS in Punjab after the organization had suspended its activities since 2012.

He said that the spirit of service is the glory of mankind, urging the masses to come forward and become part of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society.

He underlined the achievements of the 150 years old organization which had always stood apart for its services during the natural calamities, epidemic, disease and welfare of the needy and the poor.–Staff Reporter
