The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has donated Rs5 million to Prime Minister's Relief Fund for earthquake affected people of Balochistan. SCCI President Dr Sarfraz Bashir handed over the donation cheque to MPA Khawaja Manshaullah Butt in a simple ceremony held here at the chamber Saturday afternoon.
Speaking on the occasion, Khawaja Mansha ullah Butt lauded the efforts and generosity of the business community of Sialkot for extending support and expressing solidarity with their earthquake affected brethren of Balochistan. "It is time for the people, especially the philanthropist of this export city come forward and take active part in this noble cause and help reduce the miseries of the affected brethren of Balochistan," he said.
The MPA was confident that general public, philanthropist and members of the civil society of this export-oriented city and hub of cottage would fulfil their religious, moral and national obligations and donate generously in Prime Minister Relief Fund for minimizing the miseries of the people of Balochistan. SCCI President Sarfraz Bashir said that business community of Sialkot had voluntarily donated to Prime Ministers Relief Fund.
