CDA challans 747 for selling unhygienic food

Islamabadi - Special teams of Health Services Directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in various raids challaned 747 people for selling unhygienic, substandard and adulterated food items and issued notices to 1,919 persons who violated PPF Sections of the CDA Ordinance 1960 since January this year.
According to CDA, the teams challaned 69,74,83 and 57 persons in July, August, September and October this year respectively, for selling unhygienic, substandard and adulterated food items in the city. Furthermore, they issued 194,188,217 and 132 notices in July, August, September and October respectively.
On the directives of Member Administration and Estate, Amer Ali Ahmed, Health Directorate is continuing its operation against the sale of unhygienic, expired and adulterated edible items in the markets of the federal capital.
Special teams also confiscated 1,666 different edible items since January this year. Moreover, 607 cracked utensils were also confiscated. During the operation, teams of Health Services Directorate partially sealed 20 different restaurants, bakeries and hotels for selling unhygienic and substandard food items and First Information Report was also lodged against two violators of the CDA Ordinance 1960.
