FAISALABAD - Rizwan Ashraf President the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged businessmen and public at large to fully cooperate with police and local administration for the maintenance of sectarian harmony during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram. In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said that Government of the Punjab, Local Administration and concerned departments have already completed necessary arrangements to keep the situation calm and peaceful so that people could observe the first ten days of Muharram with complete solemnity and peace of mind by paying tribute to the grand son of Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him.

However, the success of these efforts totally depends on the cooperation of people from all walks of life; he said and added that people should fulfill their national obligations with a strong religious commitment so that miscreants could not exploit this situation by fanning sectarianism among the followers of different sects.

He further said that special control rooms have been established at divisional and district levels to deal with any Muharram related emergency. These control rooms will remain open round the clock to receive and pass on any information to the concerned officials and organisations to control the situation well in time.
