LAHORE - Jameet-e-Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch has said that slogans of ‘new Pakistan’ and ‘revolution’ cannot bring any change in the country.

Addressing a communal breakfast ceremony by his party, Bloch held that the public rights only be achieved by making country a welfare Islamic state. PML-Q Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Syed and other parties’ leaders also attended the ceremony.

Baloch said that country was passing through a political turmoil but politicians were busy mud-slinging on each other. He stressed that personal attacks should come to an end as these caused deep unrest among the political workers. He stressed the need for unity among the political and religious leaders.

“JI Ijtema at the Minar-e-Pakistan on November 21, 22 and 23 will witness revival of Pakistan Movement,” he added. He said the masses wanted a peaceful, strong and prospering Pakistan. He said that democratic and military governments in the past deviated from the constitution and deprived the masses of their democratic rights.  \The JI secretary general said that the Narendera Modi’s government in New Delhi had committed aggression against Pakistan and started shelling on international working boundary but the silence by Pakistani rulers on the matter was meaningful.

Mushahid Hussain said that resignations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers should not be accepted. He said that efforts for the solution of problems done by political Jirga are commendable and with the continuation of democracy, issues could be resolved. He further called for befitting reply to Indian aggression and violation at the Line of Control (LoC) and said the issue should be taken to international community.
