MIRPUR (AJK) - October 27, is the darkest day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir as on that day India landed its troops in Srinagar in blatant violation of international laws and occupied major part of the valley, depriving Kashmiris of their birth right to Self-determination.

AJK President Sardar Masood Khan, Prime Minister Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider Khan and Minister for Information Raja Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas stated in their special messages on the Black Day being observed on October 27, today.

The AJK leaders termed the Indian invasion on Kashmir this day, 70 years ago, as worst example of state terrorism and mentioned Indian fierce atrocities to suppress the voice of Kashmir.

In his message, President Sardar Masood Khan said that people of Kashmir liberated this part of Kashmir from Maharaja regime in 1947 and told to India that they will not remain calm until and unless the freedom of the people living in its occupation.

The president said, “Azad Kashmir is the base camp of Kashmir freedom movement and we will continue to play our role till the freedom of occupied Kashmir; people of Azad Kashmir stand together with the occupied Kashmiri brothers.”

AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that the Indian occupation of Kashmir reflects their ambiguous ambition of expansion. India entered Kashmir by breaking all moral and international principles,” the prime minister added.

Minister Information Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas said that India has been holding massive forces in Kashmir that it has become a military state. He said, “After taking military aggression in Kashmir, India took the case into the United Nations and when they passed resolutions on this issue, she came out of all her promises.” He said that it is a day when people of occupied Kashmir are breathing not in a free space like people of Azad Kashmir so declared it as ‘Black Day’.
