7 militants killed in Swat search operation

PESHAWAR - At least seven militants were killed and several houses were demolished during search operation by the security forces in the scattered parts of the restive Swat district on Saturday. According to sources security forces launched search operation in Ser Teligram area of Tehsil Babozai. During the operation, seven Taliban miscreants including an important commander Abdul Satar were killed. Security forces also demolished the house of Mufti Arshad in Chonghi area of Shamozo and while in the same area another house owned by Fazal Ghafar was also demolished. Meanwhile, another Qaumi Lashkar of 3,000-armed volunteers under the leadership of District Nazim Swat Jamal Nasir was constituted in Shangwati area of Tehsil Matta while another Lashkar comprising 3000 people was formed under leadership of former Federal Minister Afzal Khan Lala. Addressing on the occasion Afzal Khan Lala and other participants urged the dwellers to fully support the security forces in war against militants. They said that the support of the masses to security forces was their responsibility and without the support of the masses security force could not defeat the militants.
