Our Staff reporter HAFIZABAD - Gujranwala Division Commissioner Saeed Iqbal Wahla and RPO Ahmad Mubarik have said that the administration was alive to maintain law and order situation in the division and directed the DPO and DCO to take prompt and stern action against the owners of Madrissas who were running their religious institutions without registration and without getting No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the authorities. They visited to review the law and order situation, dengue virus arrangements etc here the other day. They expressed their satisfaction that there is complete sectarian harmony in the district which, they said, must be maintained. MPA Shahid Hussain Bhatti briefed them that due to coordination of both the DCO and DPO there was complete harmony among different sects. The DPO briefed them about the overall situation in the district. However, they directed the DCO and DPO to take stern action against irrigation water pilferers and officials of the department involved in the water theft. They also advised for improvement in sanitary conditions and improved measures against dengue virus and Congo virus. They stressed the need for launching special sanitation week in the area for creating awareness among the citizens to keep their premises neat and clean and eradicate mosquitoes. The Commissioner also advised the Livestock Officer to launch inoculation of cattle to save them from Cango virus.
