LAHORE - Additional District and Sessions Judge Ijaz Butt on Monday issued arrest warrant of Anti-Corruption Establishment Director for not registering a case against Medical Superintendent Services Hospital and other six doctors despite court order. Petitioner Shahid Saddiqi had filed a petition in the court contending that one Sidra Bibi was admitted to Services Hospital for her medical treatment and the doctors recommended her to purchase medicine from their favourite medical store owner. He implored the court that they purchased the medicine of Rs 1,25,000 from that store but the patient was not treated later by the doctors. He prayed to the court to direct the authorities concerned to register a case against the aforesaid doctors. On that, the Judge directed Anti-Corruption Director to register a case against the doctors but he did not obey the court orders. On Monday, the judge issued arrest warrant of the director for not registering a case against the doctors. However the court adjourned hearing till October 1.
